Tara and Peter were married at Hotel Du Village in New Hope, PA on a beautiful April afternoon, and it was nothing short of magical <3 The weather has been confused all year, let’s be honest. We had some rain before in the days leading up to their wedding day, giving us a nice wet ground, but the sun decided to make it’s way out just in time for portraits of these two!
I arrived to Peter and his guys having a relaxed afternoon getting ready. Foosball, getting dressed and a letter from his love moved so beautifully into going upstairs to the bridal suite to capture Tara’s gorgeous details (her dress, people – I’m obsessed!), opening a sweet letter of her own, and getting ready to see her soon-to-be-husband! As she headed out the door for the first look, her mother and bridesmaids couldn’t resist getting a peek as well from the windows above.
Hotel du Village is one of my favorite spots, ever. When Tara and Peter told me they found through hotel through my blog post not only was I thrilled to hear that I would be able to go back, but I was ecstatic to hear that Tara fell in love with their floors, walls and total vibe like I did the first time I walked in – so it was a no brainer to feature her shoes on the tiles, get some pre-ceremony dancing photos in the gorgeous piano room and utilize the beautiful brick patio for their first look!
These two had a short and oh so sweet ceremony with an amazing cocktail hour to follow! So much food and laughter in the air! Before long it was time for grand entrances, speeches, toasts and the party! Tara’s father made wine for favors for each of their guests, such a thoughtful gift. And check out their centerpieces!
