Angela and Bruce's Blue and Orange Tidewater Inn Wedding | with Harry Potter details | Easton, MD

#orangeandbluesayido #groveapair #angelanadbrucearefantastic. Okay, so only two of these were the real hashtags at their wedding, but that last one definitely should have been included. From the moment I met Angela and Bruce I knew this would be one amazing day. Their personalities were so fun and so real, and as we sipped our coffee and they told me about their story and their dreamy Tidewater Inn wedding, with an orange and blue color scheme and nods to Harry Potter I just envisioned what their day would become - and it exceeded anything that I could conjure up in my mind. What made it fantastic above all else were these two, everyone who surrounded them, and their love. Bruce is one of the most emotive grooms I have met, in every way. When Angela walked down the aisle he couldn’t keep the tears in. Writing a novel on their story for his vows which included lines like “I promise not to ever eat wet nuts with my hands again” along with some of the sweetest sentiments I’ve heard. They shoved cake into each others faces and just a few minutes later they were on the dance floor, sharing their first dance to one of their favorite film scores that brought the whole room to silence and tears.

This is a wedding that I could write about forever, all the emotions that filled the day, all of the beautiful details. But I really want you to soak it in through the images. These two had the most gorgeous May-day for their wedding; getting ready was fantastic, sunset photos were a must, and the Tidewater Inn was the perfect backdrop for these two to celebrate their official beginning of being one for life. Congratulations again, Angela and Bruce! Thank you so much for inviting me in to be a part of your day <3

Ashley and Kyle's Backyard Wedding in Havertown

Ashley and Kyle had the most wonderful, relaxed, stylized backyard wedding! From pumpkins all around to the rabbit room (that I had been obsessing over since Ashley showed me photos of the home they would be getting married at), to the beautiful tree which had started turning just for the two of them to be married in front of - I could have photographed this day over and over again! Every where I turned there was something new to discover.

I arrived as Ashley’s hair was being completed; her mother, and soon to be sister and mother-in-law were peeking in so lovingly on the bride getting ready for her day. I whisked away her dress and details across the hall and took full advantage of the unique rooms in this home. Each space provided a perfect backdrop to showcase Ashley’s dress, her lilac Rothy’s (that she customized with the sweetest flowers!) and her headpiece. It as just a joyous and calm morning with these girls getting ready. While Ashley’s father wasn’t there, it was the most wonderful thing that he was, indeed, there in the room, and with her throughout her day.

Just downstairs Kyle arrived and finished getting ready to see his bride! We stepped outside into the perfect fall air where Ashley met Kyle for their first look. The two of them were captured as we walked across the lawn, to the lemon trees and back to the front porch where family eagerly awaited them! Not long after guests begin to arrive, finding their seats in this picturesque backyard. Ashley walked down the aisle, arm in arm with her mom to meet her groom. A sweet ceremony performed by their dear friend made these two one, bride and groom now husband and wife!

Their cocktail hour and reception perfectly bled into one as a fantastic spread of hours devours were replenished throughout the evening, and dinner was passed, tapas style! This should be a thing at more weddings - not only was it a fun change, but the food was just delicious. Ashley and Kyle surprised their guests with a choreographed first dance (the best!) and right after shared a simultaneous mother’s dance (the sweetest).

Their guests enjoyed the company, conversation, and eventually all trickled onto the dance floor. One of many highlights: Time of my Life was requested, and Ashley’s rugby team all took turns being Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray - you know what I’m talking about - photos to prove it below! A top 5 in dance floor moments, for sure! The dancing, eating and enjoying continued on until their sparkler exit which sent everyone straight to the after party. What a terrific day with Mr. and Mrs. Ranshaw <3

Carley and Auston's Sweet Elverson Camp Wedding

What a joyful day it was for Carley and Auston! I arrived to the sweetest Airbnb (barn turned loft!!) where Carley was busy getting ready with her girls. Her dress was simply stunning and beautifully complimented by the most incredible antique looking flowers by Jena Paige, which just matched this bride and the space beautifully. Excitement filled the air, something I feel with almost every wedding, but it's always a little different. A little unique. As Carley slipped on her shoes and her mother fluffed her veil, there was just this quiet joy. And it continued and grew as she sat to read a letter from her soon-to-be-husband, trying to hold in tears that inevitably escaped. Their wedding day had really begun!

Just a few minutes down the road Auston waited patiently for his bride. Literally over the river and into the woods she came to him for their adorable first look! You can see for yourself how sweet that one was =) There were so many opportunities throughout the day for portraits with these two and I was thrilled! It wasn't long before their bridal party joined them and soon enough we were on our way to Action Impact for their ceremony.

Beside the lake, under the trees, guests began to gather. There are few things better than the sound of voices singing out into nature, this was such a beautiful beginning to the ceremony. Carley and Auston shared vows, exchanged rings, and worshipped God together during these moments of becoming husband and wife. Wedding day's are such wonderful things, but there's a raw joy that just spills from the ceremony and it was so wonderful to capture that being embraced!

Portraits amongst ferns with golden light leaking through was definitely one of the highlights of the day - closely followed by the Dough & Co. truck that showed up towards the end of their reception, just after we finished sunset portraits! (For you who don't know - that would be scoops of ice cream and scoops of cookie dough - for real, so delicious). Enjoy discovering and reliving the rest of their day for yourself below! Carley and Auston, it was such a joy to be there to capture your day. Wishing you so much joy in your marriage! Congratulations again!!

Ronny and Jon's Baltimore Street Car Museum Wedding

This memorial day weekend I met Ronny at Hotel Indigo where she got ready with her girls before heading to the Baltimore Streetcar Museum. This girl had a smile on her face all morning that I just couldn't stop capturing! The joy that filled the room was contagious and I was thrilled to carry it around all day with me. I snuck out to the library to meet Jon, all decked out in his custom Baltimore suit (one of the coolest suits ever - including baltimore socks, cufflinks, red tie and all). As the groomsmen arrived, hugs were given, beer was had and laughter filled this space, too. The moments ticked by, the guys left the space, and Jon waited patiently to see his bride.

Ronny was a vision in her beautiful dress and before long it was time for her to meet Jon just down the hall. The joy that Ronny emanated became the sweetest tears of joy as she walked up to her husband to be. Their first look was so full of love, but my goodness, what came after that... Ronny and Jon decided to write their own vows, for just the two of them. So, after their first look and a few portraits they sat down together and read their vows a loud to one another. It was so difficult to hold back tears as these two poured into one another their memories, admirations, and promises to each other. It was such a beautiful moment that I can only imagine these two will cherish forever.

Soon after we made our way to the Baltimore Streetcar Museum and snuck in a few portraits just before we got back into the cars to go in for the ceremony. Literally - sheets of rain came pouring down the moment we closed the doors! The rest of the day was on-and-off showers, which didn't keep anyone from having the best time. From their heartfelt ceremony (including mad-lib vows!), to some of the best food I've ever tasted (thank you The Food Market!), to the streetcar rides for guests, the whole day was just extra full of life! And the details of the day!! Ronny made practically everything, including their incredibly detailed cake toppers and pinwheels for her bridesmaids! Such a colorful and beautiful day.

The blog version of a P.S.: Very quickly we have to talk about this venue. First, I am absolutely in love with this space! But you need to know, one of the primary reasons Ronny and Jon chose Baltimore Streetcar Museum is because it only takes a few events their to fund the museum for the whole year. This means that on top of the fun, unique and antique vibe, Ronny and Jon knew that choosing to have their wedding there meant giving back to the community. And that is just something that blows me away about these two. The friends, family, and even vendors at the wedding couldn't stop talking about how wonderful this couple is - and I couldn't agree more. Congratulations again Ronny and Jon!

Michelle and Daniel's Winter Wedding at The Manor | Northern New Jersey Wedding Photography

What a picture perfect February day Michelle and Daniel had for their wedding at The Manor in New Jersey just a few short weeks ago. A beautiful sunny afternoon with snow on the ground! What more could you ask for??

A gorgeous getting ready space for the bride and groom, stunning details (hello tea length dress and dancing keds), and so much joy! Michelle and Daniel are one of the most fun couples I've had the pleasure of working with. From our first meeting via skype I knew they would just be a blast to be around (and their engagement session proved that to be true). The first look these two had was just perfect and their golden hour portraits out by the fountains and large window were to die for! A friend and coworker made a blanket for these newlyweds which we of course included in photos (so cozy and romantic, don't you think?)

We moved inside to the wine cellar where the Ketubah was signed and everyone took their places for the ceremony! One of Michelle's favorite spots in The Manor was the wine cellar - and I can't at all blame her, that space is incredible! Pictures below to prove it! We just had to sneak a few in before Daniel moved into place and Michelle walked down the aisle to meet her groom. It's always one of my favorite things when a couple writes there own vows, and these two just hit the nail on the head with theirs.

Not long after everyone made their way upstairs to enjoy a some delicious hors devours at cocktail hour. Okay, so something about Michelle and Daniel - they love music and love to dance, like...an admirable amount. It was so fitting that their grand entrance was a traditional New Orleans second line! My first second line ever and I hope for so many more (though I've got to be honest it's going to be tough to top this one). The music all night was phenomenal, thanks to none other than The Love Revival Orchestra. From the toasts, to the cake cutting and ALL of the dancing, this night was definitely one for the books. Congratulations again Michelle and Daniel! Thank you so much for having me there to capture your incredible day!

Kelsey and Harrison's Radnor Valley Country Club Wedding | St. Teresa of Calcutta | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Kelsey and Harrison (and their families) are just the sweetest souls! Between their beautiful ceremony, the perfect warm autumn weather, and light for portraits, and an incredible reception at Radnor Valley Country Club the wedding celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Betsill was something out of a dream!

We began the morning with details and getting ready at Kelsey's parents home. It didn't take long before all the girls gathered in and the whole home was filled with this laughter and joy! Gifts were given, champagne glasses were clinked and so much swooning happened over Kelsey (I mean, how could you not?) as she stepped into her gown. Meanwhile, Harrison was not far away getting ready to see his bride! One of my favorite things about having a second shooter with me is going through the images and getting to see exactly what was happening with the groom as I was with the bride. Seeing the images of Harrison putting as his shoes the same moment that Kelsey was putting on her earrings, there's just something so sweet about these two simultaneously preparing to meet one another at the end of the aisle <3

Before long it was time to move to the ceremony. Just a hop skip and jump away, we quickly arrived at St. Teresa's of Calcutta (one of the most gorgeous churches I've had the pleasure of photographing). Kelsey and Harrison seeing each other for the first time was the sweetest thing, and so contagious! I mean, the look on their faces says it all. One beautiful mass later these two were officially one! The newlyweds and bridal party headed to Valley Forge National Park to kick off portraits.

So, hen I say it was a warm day I mean it - like, relieving the bridal party to the A/C while we finished up portraits at Valley Forge...in October. Crazy. Regardless, this group was so full of life! The laughter was loud and real and I loved it! Also, lets talk about these portraits of our bride and groom for a second - except, I have no words. This was a portrait session where I had trouble choosing favorites, so there are definitely a few extra included here! We went on to Radnor Valley Country Club to complete our portraits, Kelsey and Harrison had a sweet moment, and dance, to themselves inside before joining their guests for cocktail hour, complete with cigar bar and some incredible food. From there the party continued on inside with tear jerking dances (check out the image of Harrison's dad sitting beside Kelsey during the mother-son dance) and toasts! We snuck out for a moment of night portraits before the dance floor opened up - and man does this group know how to party! What a crazy fun night to be a part of! We ended with one of the biggest sparkler exits I've seen and Kelsey and Harrison just as joyful as when the day started. Mr. and Mrs. Betsill, thank you so much again for inviting me in to capture your day. SO thankful to have met you two! Congratulations once more!!
