Carley and Auston's Sweet Elverson Camp Wedding

What a joyful day it was for Carley and Auston! I arrived to the sweetest Airbnb (barn turned loft!!) where Carley was busy getting ready with her girls. Her dress was simply stunning and beautifully complimented by the most incredible antique looking flowers by Jena Paige, which just matched this bride and the space beautifully. Excitement filled the air, something I feel with almost every wedding, but it's always a little different. A little unique. As Carley slipped on her shoes and her mother fluffed her veil, there was just this quiet joy. And it continued and grew as she sat to read a letter from her soon-to-be-husband, trying to hold in tears that inevitably escaped. Their wedding day had really begun!

Just a few minutes down the road Auston waited patiently for his bride. Literally over the river and into the woods she came to him for their adorable first look! You can see for yourself how sweet that one was =) There were so many opportunities throughout the day for portraits with these two and I was thrilled! It wasn't long before their bridal party joined them and soon enough we were on our way to Action Impact for their ceremony.

Beside the lake, under the trees, guests began to gather. There are few things better than the sound of voices singing out into nature, this was such a beautiful beginning to the ceremony. Carley and Auston shared vows, exchanged rings, and worshipped God together during these moments of becoming husband and wife. Wedding day's are such wonderful things, but there's a raw joy that just spills from the ceremony and it was so wonderful to capture that being embraced!

Portraits amongst ferns with golden light leaking through was definitely one of the highlights of the day - closely followed by the Dough & Co. truck that showed up towards the end of their reception, just after we finished sunset portraits! (For you who don't know - that would be scoops of ice cream and scoops of cookie dough - for real, so delicious). Enjoy discovering and reliving the rest of their day for yourself below! Carley and Auston, it was such a joy to be there to capture your day. Wishing you so much joy in your marriage! Congratulations again!!

Tara and Peter's Hotel Du Village Wedding | New Hope, PA | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Tara and Peter were married at Hotel Du Village in New Hope, PA on a beautiful April afternoon, and it was nothing short of magical <3 The weather has been confused all year, let's be honest. We had some rain before in the days leading up to their wedding day, giving us a nice wet ground, but the sun decided to make it's way out just in time for portraits of these two!

I arrived to Peter and his guys having a relaxed afternoon getting ready. Foosball, getting dressed and a letter from his love moved so beautifully into going upstairs to the bridal suite to capture Tara's gorgeous details (her dress, people - I'm obsessed!), opening a sweet letter of her own, and getting ready to see her soon-to-be-husband! As she headed out the door for the first look, her mother and bridesmaids couldn't resist getting a peek as well from the windows above.

Hotel du Village is one of my favorite spots, ever. When Tara and Peter told me they found through hotel through my blog post not only was I thrilled to hear that I would be able to go back, but I was ecstatic to hear that Tara fell in love with their floors, walls and total vibe like I did the first time I walked in - so it was a no brainer to feature her shoes on the tiles, get some pre-ceremony dancing photos in the gorgeous piano room and utilize the beautiful brick patio for their first look!

These two had a short and oh so sweet ceremony with an amazing cocktail hour to follow! So much food and laughter in the air! Before long it was time for grand entrances, speeches, toasts and the party! Tara's father made wine for favors for each of their guests, such a thoughtful gift. And check out their centerpieces! All bright green herbs <3 Thank you for allowing me in to capture your day Tara and Peter!

Jenny and Ryan's New Beginnings Farmstead Wedding | New York Wedding Photography

Last month I was pulling up to New Beginning's Farmstead in Hudson Valley, New York on a beautiful, sunny September day. Greeted by sheep, sunlight, and a great big yellow barn I made my way to sweet Jenny who was getting ready to go from Miss to Mrs. in just a few short hours. SO much joy filled the room as she and her girls were in the midst of getting their hair and makeup done. I stepped up to the hay-barn-turned-bridal-suite and began photographing Jenny's perfectly country details! From her custom wedding gown to sunflower bouquets, her mother's wedding veil and all of the girls boots - the yellow against the rustic blue barn walls, my goodness I was in heaven!

Jenny's sister had surprised her with a beautiful handmade scrapbook complete with photos and notes from each of her girls right before she stepped into her dress. These moments are always so special and just a privilege to capture. It wasn't long before she was quickly tucked away again, anticipating seeing her soon-to-be-husband who was getting ready.

Now before we go any further I have to point something out: Most of the time when a couple decides to have a DIY wedding they put together the most beautiful decor and details and Jenny and Ryan did, but this couple took that one step further. They did and helped with everything. Like, everything including this hay barn/bridal suite, helping to make another wagon to take people up to their ceremony site, and tending to the fields where they got married. Every time Jenny or Ryan casually mentioned something that had made or helped with my mouth opened even wider.

Ryan's face was priceless as he saw Jenny for the first time t their first look! They enjoyed some time together just the two of them before their bridal party showed up for more photos! It wasn't long before we were taking those wagons through the woods and up to a great open field. I love that they brought their guests up to their ceremony this way! So unique. It had the nostalgic feeling of a hay ride but was so romantic and awe inspiring to ride in the open air surrounded by sun dappled trees and dirt roads.

Their sunflower ceremony was just gorgeous. Smiles the whole time, even with tears streaming down faces as they did a butterfly release in honor of Jenny's mother, who was certainly there with them. Husband and wife jumped on a wagon and headed down to a sun drenched field for family portraits and enjoyed a few peaceful moments and backlit portraits (my absolute favorite!) before heading back to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests.

Everyone ushered into the large barn and it wasn't long before this couple was causing everyone to tear up again with their sweet first dance. We enjoyed the best barbecue possibly ever, toasts from wonderful friends and dancing soon began!

Thank you so much for having me to capture your beautiful day, and happy one month anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Coon! Enjoy celebrating all over again!

Kelli and Shawn's Rosebank Winery Wedding, Newtown PA

Kelli and Shawn were married at Rosebank Winery in Newtown at the end of May and their day was such a joy to be a part of! In the morning, before heading over to the winery I stopped by the house to capture the girls in their hustle and bustle of getting ready; and Kelli's gorgeous details for the day (can we talk about her stunning jewelry - or how about those Badgley Mischka sandals? I was definitely in awe). Before we knew it everyone was arriving and getting ready to be a part of these two families becoming one. Right before walking down the aisle Kelli had the sweetest first look with her mom and her girls (see below - this was one of a few times that day I was tearing up behind the camera!) I also just have to note Kelli and her bridesmaids flowers done by The Yellow Daffodil . Aren't they just gorgeous?

Kelli and Shawn joined their two families together beside friends and family at their outdoor ceremony right behind the rustic reception site. Kelli's Dad walked her down the aisle, and at the halfway point her son, Kaden, joined them. I loved the way all three of their boys joined them as they shared vows, such a beautiful moment for this new family! As soon as the ceremony began you could feel all of anticipation of the day melt away to reveal so much joy! The whole ceremony was just so sweet and full of laughs! So in line with who these two are. I love the way Kelli and Shawn love each other - in this incredible sandwich of sweet and sarcastic and silly <3

Following the ceremony the guests headed inside for cocktail hour and were greeted by stunning lights strung everywhere, flowers, and a table full of cakes as we captured sweet family and other photos outside. After dances, the sweetest toast from Kelli's matron of honor (cue the tears pt. 2) and dinner, we snuck out for a few moments of dreamy sunset portraits before Kelli and Shawn partied the night away! When I met with Kelli and Shawn last year they were sure to let me know that it was going to be a party, and oh my, was it! This group definitely goes in the books as one of the craziest bridal parties I have had the pleasure of working with!

Congratulations again, Kelli and Shawn (and Kaden, Brayden, and Nolan!!) Thank you SO much for choosing me to capture the love and laughter of your wedding day <3
