Courtney and Ryan's Timeless Old City Wedding | Presentation BVM | Sheraton Society Hill

Just three short weeks ago these two met each other at the altar at the front of Presentation BVM in Wynnewood to become husband and wife! Arm in arm with her father, tears welling in her (and just about everyone else’s eyes), Courtney walked down the aisle to Ryan.

Just hours earlier, away from one another, they simultaneously got ready for the day. I walked into this bride’s parents home, greeted by smiles everywhere. I love walking into spaces as joyful as this! Details were the first on the list to photograph, and Courtney’s were just perfect. Every piece included were classic and romantic. From her creme invitation suite to her gorgeous off-the-shoulder gown to the Tiffany bracelet she received from her maids of honor, each piece was just perfect. I love that she even had her father hang a hook by the windows to place her dress for photos! Courtney is one of the sweetest brides, with the most happy tears I’ve witnessed to date. From the moment she opened her card from her husband-to-be the tears began to form, and from that moment on they continued to swell in her eyes. You could just tell that she was soaking in each moment to the fullest and it was so heartwarming. Around the same time Ryan was reading his card from his soon-to-be-wife and the guys continued getting ready for the ceremony. Tying ties, drinking a final beer, and heading off to church.

After a wonderful ceremony and family portraits everyone hopped on the party bus to make our way into Philadelphia. Merchant’s Exchange building in always a good idea for an Old City wedding! We began here, capturing the bridal party. The girls soft blue dresses coupled with the historic building brought such a dreamy quality to this set of photos! The sun popped out just in time for Bride and Groom portraits as we walked around the area capturing the newlyweds. One final stop near the Sheraton Society Hill and we were ready to head in just in time for cocktail hour. So many family and friends surrounded Courtney and Ryan on their day. Their cocktail hour and reception alike were consumed by love and laughter! Their band, Midtown Express, welcomed everyone into the ballroom and fun entrances and a heartfelt first dance welcomed everyone to the beginning of an incredible night! From speeches including some gifts to welcome Ryan into the family to the sweetest parent dances all the way to almost everyone on the dance floor. Courtney and Ryan’s wedding was a day to remember Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Murray!

Lisa and Joe's Wedding at The Logan Philadelphia

On a beautiful, warm, July day Lisa and Joe were ready to be married! Just a few floors separated them at The Logan in Philadelphia as they simultaneously got ready to see each other. Lisa’s details were all ready when I arrived, from her gorgeous gown to her sparkly Kate Spade dancing shoes. Bouncing back and forth between capturing this and the girls having hair and make up done was so much fun! It wasn’t long before Joe was reading a letter from his sweet to-be bride and Lisa was upstairs, admired by the family and friends surrounding her as she stepped into her gown and began adding the finishing touches to her bridal look. My favorite detail, by far, was her “something blue” - a piece of the blanket she had since she was a small child - pinned inside her dress! The joke was that she would walk down the aisle with that blanket someday; Lisa told me they had to really search to find a piece with some blue on it, and every single person that she shared this detail with just adored it!

We headed down to the courtyard together where Lisa and Joe saw one another for the first time this day, and the last time as fiance’s! I will never tire of the way a groom looks at his bride, especially when it’s just the two of them.

It wasn’t long before we gathered up the bridal party, took some photos, and went on our way to The Philadelphia Museum of Art. From our first consultation (and really, probably one of the first things that Joe mentioned) I was told that getting photos on the Rocky Steps was a huge priority! When you’re just a few blocks away why would you not?? Everyone was such a trooper in that afternoon July heat, and we had lots of fun capturing everyone right there by the Art Museum (and of course with The Rocky Statue! That line definitely moves a lot quicker than I thought it did).

Not long after, Lisa and Joe had the sweetest ceremony. Tears unexpectedly came from the groom and just had everyone else tearing up, as well. Vows, rings - finally husband and wife! Cocktail hour was enjoyed with delicious hors devours and their string quartet serenading everyone in the patio area. The newlyweds snuck into their reception room a little early where Joe was surprised with a personalized groom’s cake, made by the Aunt of the bride! You have to take a look at this cake. The details were incredible, including some of this Wisconsin groom’s favorite things: fishing, the Green Bay Packers, a whole side dedicated to the day these two met (at a halloween party, so naturally the bride and groom in their costumes are the highlight there - guys, it’s the coolest groom’s cake). Their reception was filled with joy and lots of dancing! I was able to sneak these two out and up to the rooftop lounge of The Logan for some sunset portraits overlooking the city. It was party number two up there! With snuggles and celebratory champagne it was a beautiful ending to a wonderful day. What an honor this day was to capture. Congratulations again, Lisa and Joe!!

Tara and Peter's Hotel Du Village Wedding | New Hope, PA | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Tara and Peter were married at Hotel Du Village in New Hope, PA on a beautiful April afternoon, and it was nothing short of magical <3 The weather has been confused all year, let's be honest. We had some rain before in the days leading up to their wedding day, giving us a nice wet ground, but the sun decided to make it's way out just in time for portraits of these two!

I arrived to Peter and his guys having a relaxed afternoon getting ready. Foosball, getting dressed and a letter from his love moved so beautifully into going upstairs to the bridal suite to capture Tara's gorgeous details (her dress, people - I'm obsessed!), opening a sweet letter of her own, and getting ready to see her soon-to-be-husband! As she headed out the door for the first look, her mother and bridesmaids couldn't resist getting a peek as well from the windows above.

Hotel du Village is one of my favorite spots, ever. When Tara and Peter told me they found through hotel through my blog post not only was I thrilled to hear that I would be able to go back, but I was ecstatic to hear that Tara fell in love with their floors, walls and total vibe like I did the first time I walked in - so it was a no brainer to feature her shoes on the tiles, get some pre-ceremony dancing photos in the gorgeous piano room and utilize the beautiful brick patio for their first look!

These two had a short and oh so sweet ceremony with an amazing cocktail hour to follow! So much food and laughter in the air! Before long it was time for grand entrances, speeches, toasts and the party! Tara's father made wine for favors for each of their guests, such a thoughtful gift. And check out their centerpieces! All bright green herbs <3 Thank you for allowing me in to capture your day Tara and Peter!

Samantha and Andrew's Accelerator Space Baltimore Wedding | Loyola University | Baltimore Wedding Photographer

A morning that came and went in an instant. The sweetest father-daughter first look. A church filled with the perfect wedding ratio of smiles, laughter, joy and tears. This hardly begins to describe not even half of Samantha and Andrew's wonderful wedding day! This is a couple who I met and instantly clicked with - from our conversation that lasted far longer than the normal client-consultation to their baltimore engagement session (throwback to that one here) to feeling like I was there with two good friends on their wedding day...It's a really special thing to connect with a couple like that and I just feel so honored to have met them and captured their day <3

There's this really wonderful feeling you get when you walk into that first place on a wedding day. Everyone is bustling around, there's usually music playing in the background, chatter from moms and aunts and bridesmaids happening in every room... but there's still space for this sort of quietness that settles in the spaces between all that's happening. It's a beautiful feeling that I believe is unique to only these days - and it is my absolute favorite. Details, hair, make-up and getting ready was captured in what felt like an instant and before anyone knew it we were all on our way to Loyola University for the ceremony! We pulled up to the back of the building where Samantha's father was waiting to see his daughter. Smiles began there and became the common theme throughout their ceremony. From the moment Andrew saw his soon to be wife coming down the aisle to him until the very last guest was greeted after their ceremony, everyone was beaming!

The campus of Loyola University gave us the perfect spot for portraits, especially when the sun showed up for a moment and gave us a warm backlit sky. Samantha's veil blowing in the wind, some really wonderful doors, and two brand new-newlyweds made my job pretty easy. We took advantage of the quieter moments of just the two of them before headed over to their reception site for a few more photos and cocktail hour!

Parking and walking along the blue wall of Accelerator Space I just knew that we were heading into an incredible industrial reception venue! We paused along the lantern filled walkway with Samantha and Andrew for just a few more bride and groom portraits before heading inside. Flowers, candles and incredible bulb string lights brought such a warmth into this space which was perfectly matched by the energy of the room. Speeches that were filled with so much joy, a blessing of the meal and some amazing food by Zeffert and Gold kicked off the night! The bouquet and garter toss seem to be slowly dying out in the wedding world, but I have to tell you, Samantha and Andrew's was so much fun! That is the only way to describe this couples reception - just, fun! As my moments there came to a close we snuck outside for some amazing night portraits of these two (special shout out to my second photographer Allie for not only helping me capture this day, but being the best lantern holder around!) We ended the evening with quiet moments of these two, lots of hugs, and the sound of music playing in the background as they partied on. Congratulations again Samantha and Andrew!! So thrilled for you both and your first month of marriage <3

Jess and David's Cozy Barn on Bridge Winter Wedding | Phoenixville PA Wedding Photographer

On an unbelievably warm January day, opposite directions from one another, Jess and David anticipated walking into The Barn on Bridge for heartfelt, hand written vows and finally becoming husband and wife <3 You may remember these two (and their sweet pup Charlie) from their engagement session this past fall. Jess is one of the sweetest human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing (since highschool! What a sweet reunion this has been!) and David just compliments her perfectly! It's obvious they have found their match in one another!

I walked into Jess's parents house Saturday morning to calm chatting and so many smiles as sister and maid of honor Brooke finished curling this bride's hair. Aunts, nieces, cousins, and Mom and Dad all bustling around, getting ready with joy that was already filling every corner! It was just such a calm morning which reflected Jess's personality perfectly. The quiet anxiousness and joy moved over to the Barn on Bridge as Jess stepped into her stunning gown. It still makes my eyes so watery to see the love between Jess and her Mom - such a special bond, what a privilege it is to capture those relationships! In just moments Jess made her way to meet her soon-to-be-husband right outside the bridal suite. The way the sun popped out for their portraits, you would think it was a perfect spring day! These two were so giddy to see each other. Smiles are my favorite, and you know these two had them down =)

A beautiful ceremony, wonderful portraits, and a delicious cocktail hour later (complete with some of the most amazing cheeses from the couples favorite - The Grand Fromage in Skippack, PA) and it was time for dinner, dances, toasts and celebration! Jess and David, you two are such a beautiful couple. Thank you so much for inviting me in to capture your day! Congratulations once more on your marriage!
