Tara and Peter's Hotel Du Village Wedding | New Hope, PA | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Tara and Peter were married at Hotel Du Village in New Hope, PA on a beautiful April afternoon, and it was nothing short of magical <3 The weather has been confused all year, let's be honest. We had some rain before in the days leading up to their wedding day, giving us a nice wet ground, but the sun decided to make it's way out just in time for portraits of these two!

I arrived to Peter and his guys having a relaxed afternoon getting ready. Foosball, getting dressed and a letter from his love moved so beautifully into going upstairs to the bridal suite to capture Tara's gorgeous details (her dress, people - I'm obsessed!), opening a sweet letter of her own, and getting ready to see her soon-to-be-husband! As she headed out the door for the first look, her mother and bridesmaids couldn't resist getting a peek as well from the windows above.

Hotel du Village is one of my favorite spots, ever. When Tara and Peter told me they found through hotel through my blog post not only was I thrilled to hear that I would be able to go back, but I was ecstatic to hear that Tara fell in love with their floors, walls and total vibe like I did the first time I walked in - so it was a no brainer to feature her shoes on the tiles, get some pre-ceremony dancing photos in the gorgeous piano room and utilize the beautiful brick patio for their first look!

These two had a short and oh so sweet ceremony with an amazing cocktail hour to follow! So much food and laughter in the air! Before long it was time for grand entrances, speeches, toasts and the party! Tara's father made wine for favors for each of their guests, such a thoughtful gift. And check out their centerpieces! All bright green herbs <3 Thank you for allowing me in to capture your day Tara and Peter!

Jess and David's Cozy Barn on Bridge Winter Wedding | Phoenixville PA Wedding Photographer

On an unbelievably warm January day, opposite directions from one another, Jess and David anticipated walking into The Barn on Bridge for heartfelt, hand written vows and finally becoming husband and wife <3 You may remember these two (and their sweet pup Charlie) from their engagement session this past fall. Jess is one of the sweetest human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing (since highschool! What a sweet reunion this has been!) and David just compliments her perfectly! It's obvious they have found their match in one another!

I walked into Jess's parents house Saturday morning to calm chatting and so many smiles as sister and maid of honor Brooke finished curling this bride's hair. Aunts, nieces, cousins, and Mom and Dad all bustling around, getting ready with joy that was already filling every corner! It was just such a calm morning which reflected Jess's personality perfectly. The quiet anxiousness and joy moved over to the Barn on Bridge as Jess stepped into her stunning gown. It still makes my eyes so watery to see the love between Jess and her Mom - such a special bond, what a privilege it is to capture those relationships! In just moments Jess made her way to meet her soon-to-be-husband right outside the bridal suite. The way the sun popped out for their portraits, you would think it was a perfect spring day! These two were so giddy to see each other. Smiles are my favorite, and you know these two had them down =)

A beautiful ceremony, wonderful portraits, and a delicious cocktail hour later (complete with some of the most amazing cheeses from the couples favorite - The Grand Fromage in Skippack, PA) and it was time for dinner, dances, toasts and celebration! Jess and David, you two are such a beautiful couple. Thank you so much for inviting me in to capture your day! Congratulations once more on your marriage!

Nicole and Alex's The Gables at Chadds Ford Wedding | St Agnes Church West Chester | Philadelphia Wedding Photography

This autumn, on one of our beautiful, warmer-than-it-should-have-been weekends, Nicole and Alex were married! We began the day at The Gables at Chadds Ford where Nicole and her girls got ready. So, this venue... absolutely amazing. They care for their couples, their food is incredible (incredible) and it is just beautiful! I loved taking advantage of their fall decor for Nicole's detail photos. I'll always utilize a pumpkin as a backdrop for jewelry! The girls had a lovely morning spending time together getting their hair and make up done (shout out to Daneen Jensen & Associates for your beautiful work!), gushing over the beautiful bride and taking a few photos before heading off to the church. One of my favorite things is when a bride and her father decide to have a "first look" - can we just talk about Nicole's Dad's reaction for a second?? It still brings tear to my eyes, so much joy! Meanwhile, Alex was not far away getting ready to see his bride to be!

These two stood in St. Agnes Church in West Chester to say their "I do"s. There is something so special about seeing your bride for the first time walking down the aisle. Alex's sweet reaction just says it all! A ceremony, kiss, and bubble exit later we were soon traveling to Everhart Park, followed by the Red Barn right next door to the Gables for some sweet and fun portraits! We made our way back over to The Gables just in time for cocktail hour (yum!) before heading into the barn to dance the night away. Some other highlights: polaroid guest book, punny signature drink, a drop dead gorgeous first dance and some pretty amazing night portraits! Keep scrolling to see the magic =)

Nicole and Alex, what a joy it was to be a part of your day (and to get to know you two awesome people!!) Congratulations again!

Jenny and Ryan's New Beginnings Farmstead Wedding | New York Wedding Photography

Last month I was pulling up to New Beginning's Farmstead in Hudson Valley, New York on a beautiful, sunny September day. Greeted by sheep, sunlight, and a great big yellow barn I made my way to sweet Jenny who was getting ready to go from Miss to Mrs. in just a few short hours. SO much joy filled the room as she and her girls were in the midst of getting their hair and makeup done. I stepped up to the hay-barn-turned-bridal-suite and began photographing Jenny's perfectly country details! From her custom wedding gown to sunflower bouquets, her mother's wedding veil and all of the girls boots - the yellow against the rustic blue barn walls, my goodness I was in heaven!

Jenny's sister had surprised her with a beautiful handmade scrapbook complete with photos and notes from each of her girls right before she stepped into her dress. These moments are always so special and just a privilege to capture. It wasn't long before she was quickly tucked away again, anticipating seeing her soon-to-be-husband who was getting ready.

Now before we go any further I have to point something out: Most of the time when a couple decides to have a DIY wedding they put together the most beautiful decor and details and Jenny and Ryan did, but this couple took that one step further. They did and helped with everything. Like, everything including this hay barn/bridal suite, helping to make another wagon to take people up to their ceremony site, and tending to the fields where they got married. Every time Jenny or Ryan casually mentioned something that had made or helped with my mouth opened even wider.

Ryan's face was priceless as he saw Jenny for the first time t their first look! They enjoyed some time together just the two of them before their bridal party showed up for more photos! It wasn't long before we were taking those wagons through the woods and up to a great open field. I love that they brought their guests up to their ceremony this way! So unique. It had the nostalgic feeling of a hay ride but was so romantic and awe inspiring to ride in the open air surrounded by sun dappled trees and dirt roads.

Their sunflower ceremony was just gorgeous. Smiles the whole time, even with tears streaming down faces as they did a butterfly release in honor of Jenny's mother, who was certainly there with them. Husband and wife jumped on a wagon and headed down to a sun drenched field for family portraits and enjoyed a few peaceful moments and backlit portraits (my absolute favorite!) before heading back to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests.

Everyone ushered into the large barn and it wasn't long before this couple was causing everyone to tear up again with their sweet first dance. We enjoyed the best barbecue possibly ever, toasts from wonderful friends and dancing soon began!

Thank you so much for having me to capture your beautiful day, and happy one month anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Coon! Enjoy celebrating all over again!

Jess and David's Peace Valley Park Engagement Session

Jess, David and sweet Charlie met me at Peace Valley Park on a beautiful Sunday afternoon for their autumn engagement session. I met Jess years ago in highschool and her soul has not changed one bit. She has this quiet joy about her that is so contagious - it filled my heart so much to see David share that same quality with her!

We spent a perfect fall day in the woods, small fields and trails at the park leading up to a lake filled with more geese than I've seen in one place! Jess and David just have such an ease about them. Everything was calm as the morning and they just smiled the whole time! Charlie was energetic as anything and didn't want to leave his parents' side our whole session (he's just the cutest pup, don't you think??). Enjoy taking a peek into our day together!

Thank you two so much for allowing me to capture your sweet souls. So looking forward to your wintery wedding in January!

Fran and John's Hopewell Furnace Engagement Session

Meet Fran and John, two of the happiest people ever! We arrived at French Creek State Park for their engagement session and continued on into one of my favorite spots - Hopewell Furnace. We just had the best time together! The first time I had them snuggle up John started laughing so sweetly as he looked towards Fran and said "I'm getting so sentimental" How sweet is that?? I love the love these two share! How wonderful it was to include their son Hunter in some of these photos as well (who was equally as joyful, just look at that precious kid)!

So thrilled to capture this family and Fran and John getting married at The Barn at Flying Hills next month! Just one more month you two!! <3

Liz and Brandon's Old City Philadelphia Engagement Session

Liz and Brandon met me at sunset at the entrance of Elfreth's Alley (the oldest street in Philadelphia) for their engagement session and allowed me to capture some magic! I absolutely adore how these two are together! They're both so joyful - Liz was just so giddy and laughed the whole session (as you'll find to be abundantly clear through her contagious smile below) and her excitement was paired perfectly by Brandon's warm smiles, giggles caught from her, and this obvious love for one another. We explored this bit of the city, found some beautiful pockets of light, and ended the evening with snuggles on the Market Street Bridge. I can not believe they're getting married in just one month! So thrilled to capture you two at the RoseBank Winery in July as you say 'I do'!!
