Chelsea and Chris' Duke Art Gallery Wedding

Let’s talk about this venue for a second. Straight out of a fairytale. Have you been to Duke Art Gallery? If you haven’t been, you need to go, like now. There is no way to describe this space but straight out of a fairytale. From the stone archways to the forest tucked behind it, to the incredible stone turret where Chelsea and Chris got married. Talk about a dream!

Walking into the space where the girls are getting ready always sets the vibe for the day. Opening the door to this hotel room and being greeted by Chelsea’s smiling face, some classic 00’s pop music playing in the background and champagne in custom made glasses for all the girls was the perfect lead in to a joyous wedding day! Finishing touches of hair and makeup followed by all the girls putting on their mismatched taupe dresses (such a unique and great color!) led up to this bride putting on her dress. Let me tell you, that BHLDN wedding dress was just beautiful: lace details and an open back, finished with customized sleeves that were perfect and added such sweet personality! Very much reflective of this bride: so easy going, sweet, and fun! A final cheers and these ladies were headed out to door.

Chris was such a sweet groom, anticipating seeing Chelsea from early on in the day, and you could just see it in his eyes when he turned around to see her for the first time. First looks like this are the best! Photo proof of his beaming face, guaranteed to bring the same smile to your face, it’s just so contagious! We explored the Duke Arts grounds and captured this couple, their bridal party, and family before tucking everyone away as guests arrived via yellow school bus for the ceremony! And soon was their fairytale moment. These two were married in front of their piece of a castle, with the most beautiful greenery surrounding them and their family and friends. Tears and smiles guided them through their ceremony and into cocktail hour where everyone enjoyed some of the best hors d'oeuvres (JAM catering always knocks it out of the park with their food), cocktails, and company. A partly rainy cocktail hour on the lawn was just the beginning of the party! Everyone moved into the art gallery for the reception to begin! Guests were greeted by the art on the walls, greenery and rose centerpieces and a cheese-cake - yes, a cake made of cheese! The music came up and Chelsea and Chris entered with the biggest smiles on their faces, and shared their first dance as husband and wife. Wonderful toasts, sweet parent dances, and an amazing meal later and the dancing began! I never thought I would see a pyramid happen on the dancefloor, and it’s now something I can add to my list of ‘crazy/awesome wedding moments’. Something else that was added to that list this evening? Outdoor late night pizza! S’mores are a classic, and you better believe they happened, too - but the pizza was just next level.

Chelsea and Chris, it was such a joy to be a part of your day! Thank you so much for having me capture this joyous occasion and congratulations one more time! Definitely scroll down to view their wedding day!

Ashley and Kyle's Backyard Wedding in Havertown

Ashley and Kyle had the most wonderful, relaxed, stylized backyard wedding! From pumpkins all around to the rabbit room (that I had been obsessing over since Ashley showed me photos of the home they would be getting married at), to the beautiful tree which had started turning just for the two of them to be married in front of - I could have photographed this day over and over again! Every where I turned there was something new to discover.

I arrived as Ashley’s hair was being completed; her mother, and soon to be sister and mother-in-law were peeking in so lovingly on the bride getting ready for her day. I whisked away her dress and details across the hall and took full advantage of the unique rooms in this home. Each space provided a perfect backdrop to showcase Ashley’s dress, her lilac Rothy’s (that she customized with the sweetest flowers!) and her headpiece. It as just a joyous and calm morning with these girls getting ready. While Ashley’s father wasn’t there, it was the most wonderful thing that he was, indeed, there in the room, and with her throughout her day.

Just downstairs Kyle arrived and finished getting ready to see his bride! We stepped outside into the perfect fall air where Ashley met Kyle for their first look. The two of them were captured as we walked across the lawn, to the lemon trees and back to the front porch where family eagerly awaited them! Not long after guests begin to arrive, finding their seats in this picturesque backyard. Ashley walked down the aisle, arm in arm with her mom to meet her groom. A sweet ceremony performed by their dear friend made these two one, bride and groom now husband and wife!

Their cocktail hour and reception perfectly bled into one as a fantastic spread of hours devours were replenished throughout the evening, and dinner was passed, tapas style! This should be a thing at more weddings - not only was it a fun change, but the food was just delicious. Ashley and Kyle surprised their guests with a choreographed first dance (the best!) and right after shared a simultaneous mother’s dance (the sweetest).

Their guests enjoyed the company, conversation, and eventually all trickled onto the dance floor. One of many highlights: Time of my Life was requested, and Ashley’s rugby team all took turns being Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray - you know what I’m talking about - photos to prove it below! A top 5 in dance floor moments, for sure! The dancing, eating and enjoying continued on until their sparkler exit which sent everyone straight to the after party. What a terrific day with Mr. and Mrs. Ranshaw <3

Carley and Auston's Sweet Elverson Camp Wedding

What a joyful day it was for Carley and Auston! I arrived to the sweetest Airbnb (barn turned loft!!) where Carley was busy getting ready with her girls. Her dress was simply stunning and beautifully complimented by the most incredible antique looking flowers by Jena Paige, which just matched this bride and the space beautifully. Excitement filled the air, something I feel with almost every wedding, but it's always a little different. A little unique. As Carley slipped on her shoes and her mother fluffed her veil, there was just this quiet joy. And it continued and grew as she sat to read a letter from her soon-to-be-husband, trying to hold in tears that inevitably escaped. Their wedding day had really begun!

Just a few minutes down the road Auston waited patiently for his bride. Literally over the river and into the woods she came to him for their adorable first look! You can see for yourself how sweet that one was =) There were so many opportunities throughout the day for portraits with these two and I was thrilled! It wasn't long before their bridal party joined them and soon enough we were on our way to Action Impact for their ceremony.

Beside the lake, under the trees, guests began to gather. There are few things better than the sound of voices singing out into nature, this was such a beautiful beginning to the ceremony. Carley and Auston shared vows, exchanged rings, and worshipped God together during these moments of becoming husband and wife. Wedding day's are such wonderful things, but there's a raw joy that just spills from the ceremony and it was so wonderful to capture that being embraced!

Portraits amongst ferns with golden light leaking through was definitely one of the highlights of the day - closely followed by the Dough & Co. truck that showed up towards the end of their reception, just after we finished sunset portraits! (For you who don't know - that would be scoops of ice cream and scoops of cookie dough - for real, so delicious). Enjoy discovering and reliving the rest of their day for yourself below! Carley and Auston, it was such a joy to be there to capture your day. Wishing you so much joy in your marriage! Congratulations again!!

Ronny and Jon's Baltimore Street Car Museum Wedding

This memorial day weekend I met Ronny at Hotel Indigo where she got ready with her girls before heading to the Baltimore Streetcar Museum. This girl had a smile on her face all morning that I just couldn't stop capturing! The joy that filled the room was contagious and I was thrilled to carry it around all day with me. I snuck out to the library to meet Jon, all decked out in his custom Baltimore suit (one of the coolest suits ever - including baltimore socks, cufflinks, red tie and all). As the groomsmen arrived, hugs were given, beer was had and laughter filled this space, too. The moments ticked by, the guys left the space, and Jon waited patiently to see his bride.

Ronny was a vision in her beautiful dress and before long it was time for her to meet Jon just down the hall. The joy that Ronny emanated became the sweetest tears of joy as she walked up to her husband to be. Their first look was so full of love, but my goodness, what came after that... Ronny and Jon decided to write their own vows, for just the two of them. So, after their first look and a few portraits they sat down together and read their vows a loud to one another. It was so difficult to hold back tears as these two poured into one another their memories, admirations, and promises to each other. It was such a beautiful moment that I can only imagine these two will cherish forever.

Soon after we made our way to the Baltimore Streetcar Museum and snuck in a few portraits just before we got back into the cars to go in for the ceremony. Literally - sheets of rain came pouring down the moment we closed the doors! The rest of the day was on-and-off showers, which didn't keep anyone from having the best time. From their heartfelt ceremony (including mad-lib vows!), to some of the best food I've ever tasted (thank you The Food Market!), to the streetcar rides for guests, the whole day was just extra full of life! And the details of the day!! Ronny made practically everything, including their incredibly detailed cake toppers and pinwheels for her bridesmaids! Such a colorful and beautiful day.

The blog version of a P.S.: Very quickly we have to talk about this venue. First, I am absolutely in love with this space! But you need to know, one of the primary reasons Ronny and Jon chose Baltimore Streetcar Museum is because it only takes a few events their to fund the museum for the whole year. This means that on top of the fun, unique and antique vibe, Ronny and Jon knew that choosing to have their wedding there meant giving back to the community. And that is just something that blows me away about these two. The friends, family, and even vendors at the wedding couldn't stop talking about how wonderful this couple is - and I couldn't agree more. Congratulations again Ronny and Jon!

Kelli and Shawn's Rosebank Winery Wedding, Newtown PA

Kelli and Shawn were married at Rosebank Winery in Newtown at the end of May and their day was such a joy to be a part of! In the morning, before heading over to the winery I stopped by the house to capture the girls in their hustle and bustle of getting ready; and Kelli's gorgeous details for the day (can we talk about her stunning jewelry - or how about those Badgley Mischka sandals? I was definitely in awe). Before we knew it everyone was arriving and getting ready to be a part of these two families becoming one. Right before walking down the aisle Kelli had the sweetest first look with her mom and her girls (see below - this was one of a few times that day I was tearing up behind the camera!) I also just have to note Kelli and her bridesmaids flowers done by The Yellow Daffodil . Aren't they just gorgeous?

Kelli and Shawn joined their two families together beside friends and family at their outdoor ceremony right behind the rustic reception site. Kelli's Dad walked her down the aisle, and at the halfway point her son, Kaden, joined them. I loved the way all three of their boys joined them as they shared vows, such a beautiful moment for this new family! As soon as the ceremony began you could feel all of anticipation of the day melt away to reveal so much joy! The whole ceremony was just so sweet and full of laughs! So in line with who these two are. I love the way Kelli and Shawn love each other - in this incredible sandwich of sweet and sarcastic and silly <3

Following the ceremony the guests headed inside for cocktail hour and were greeted by stunning lights strung everywhere, flowers, and a table full of cakes as we captured sweet family and other photos outside. After dances, the sweetest toast from Kelli's matron of honor (cue the tears pt. 2) and dinner, we snuck out for a few moments of dreamy sunset portraits before Kelli and Shawn partied the night away! When I met with Kelli and Shawn last year they were sure to let me know that it was going to be a party, and oh my, was it! This group definitely goes in the books as one of the craziest bridal parties I have had the pleasure of working with!

Congratulations again, Kelli and Shawn (and Kaden, Brayden, and Nolan!!) Thank you SO much for choosing me to capture the love and laughter of your wedding day <3

Marisa and George's Tug Hill Winery Wedding

Anticipation and tears and laughter and joy...I don't think there are enough words to describe all of the wonderful emotions and moments on Marisa and George's wedding day! Tug Hill Winery provided the perfect backdrop for this late summer day. Their first look was definitely my favorite - George's reaction to seeing his bride to be had me in tears instantly! (Which happened again as she walked down the aisle to him) Excitement and love just filled every space these two were in; I can't gush enough about these two!! Thank you so much to Jenny Haury for asking me to be a part of capturing this beautiful day!

Zach and Allison's Elegant Outdoor Elizabethtown Wedding

A few short weeks ago I was asked to come alongside Shelia Martin and capture Zach and Allison at Moonstone Manner in Elizabethtown, PA (a venue which absolutely blew me away) as they promised each other forever. They found the perfect balance in creating a wedding which was so classic and elegant, but obviously full of both their personalities, as well!

Walking around capturing candids, the sweetest first look by a gorgeous stone wall, little succulent guest cards (one of which is now growing in my windowsill), were all so lovely to capture! But seeing and being able to document their sweet love - that just filled my heart. These two were so wonderful and it was just such a joy to be a part of photographing their wedding day. Congratulations again to Zach and Allison!
