Hotel Du Village is one of my favorite places in Bucks County. There is so much elegance and character in this space, which mirrored Caitlin and Marc beautifully! I arrived to the creme bridal suite on a windy day in April. All the girls having their hair and makeup done, a sweet flower girl wandering around the big room and colors popping from the berry colored bridesmaids dresses and blush, burgundy, and green flowers that were just arriving. Caitlin was such a calm bride, just taking in the morning. The guys were not far away, getting ready in their space downstairs. Between the games of foosball, grabbing a drink, and even heading outside for a little bike ride after getting dressed; the day was setting up to be perfect!
And my goodness it was just that, perfect, for these two! April 27th was probably one of the windiest days we will have this year, and it barely seemed to phase this couple. As they headed outside for a first look that brought the biggest smiles (what an incredible joy to capture!), the day got better with each moment! The bridal party braved the wind (and looked amazing in it) and before long guests were arriving. Luckily the wind died down just in time for Caitlin and Marc’s outdoor ceremony. Hotel Du Village has this gorgeous patio space, and the birch tree arch and flowers by Flower Station just completed the space incredibly. As husband and wife these two took a moment to themselves after saying their beautiful vows and sharing a first kiss (something I would highly recommend to every bride and groom to be – the day passes so quickly, give yourselves that moment to breathe together) before heading to cocktail hour and then their reception to celebrate with their family and friends!
I was so thrilled to be able to sneak these two out for a few last light photos before cake cutting and an incredible night of dancing, celebration, and sparklers to end the night! Every time the wind blows through the trees I bet Caitlin and Marc will be reminded of their beautiful, blustery wedding day! What an incredible gift they have been given in that <3
